About Kurtz Woodworks
Our Story
It all started with my grandfather, a master craftsman, creating pieces from his basement shop in Pittsburgh PA. From that young age, woodworking has always been a passion of mine. I built several cabinets, beds, entertainment centers, and other items for my own home over the years, but never thought about turning that skillset into a business. That is, until my wife Mara suggested I try selling items at some local craft fairs. Not knowing what to expect, we dove in. Fortunately, we had tremendous success, and to this day, we still pack up our tent and attend various shows in the Orange County, CA area. While at our booth, customers would ask if we had a website (we didn't). This is the next step in our development as a business; a website to feature some of the handmade items we sell. Epoxy Inlay Cutting Boards: Rich rivers of color on one side, Full cutting surface with grooves on the other. Dimensions are 18" x 12" x 1 1/2".
Pro Series Cutting Boards: Our heavy duty flagship boards, built to last, with juice grooves on both sides. Dimensions are 18" x 12" x 1 3/4".
Our Production Boards: Simpler patterns enable us to mass produce for client & family gifts. Custom engraving is available. 18" x 12" x 1 3/4"
Medium Thickness Cutting Boards: Same build quality as the Pro series, just a little thinner to cut weight (Dimensions are 18" x 12" x 1 1/4")
Cutting Boards: A narrower version of our Pro Line boards. Narrowed down for tight spaces. Dimensions are 18" x 8 1/2" x 1 1/4".
Chaos Cutting / Charcuterie Boards: A mashup of other board cuts, brought together in random patterns. Available in multiple dimensions.
Thin Cutting Boards: These boards have been on a diet. High quality manufacture with light weight. Dimensions are 18" x 8 1/2" x 3/4".
The Cedar Backyard Party Cooler - Perfect for entertaining or relaxing outdoors. Comes with brass plumbing fixtures, bottle opener and metal handles.
