About Kurtz Woodworks
Our Story
It all started with my grandfather, a master craftsman, creating pieces from his basement shop in Pittsburgh PA. From that young age, woodworking has always been a passion of mine. I built several cabinets, beds, entertainment centers, and other items for my own home over the years, but never thought about turning that skillset into a business. That is, until my wife Mara suggested I try selling items at some local craft fairs. Not knowing what to expect, we dove in. Fortunately, we had tremendous success, and to this day, we still pack up our tent and attend various shows in the Orange County, CA area. While at our booth, customers would ask if we had a website (we didn't). This is the next step in our development as a business; a website to feature some of the handmade items we sell.
